Skálavík lies on Sandoy’s east-side.
The stone-church in Skálavík is from 1891.
South of the village is the 202 meter high promontory Skalhøvdi.
Skálavík has an annual civic-festival called Sanoyarstevna. The festival is like Ólavsøka in Tórshavn only considerably smaller. It runs in the beginning of July. |
